As a standard practice, Envista does not share with third parties any personally identifiable or private information submitted by you online unless it is needed in the course of providing you or your organization with Services.

Envista Safe Harbor Policy

Envista is a global leader in forensic engineering & recovery solutions. We provide cause & origin, failure analysis, fire and explosion investigations, accident reconstruction, damage evaluations and equipment restoration services following disasters of all kinds. Envista has served the insurance, legal and risk management industries for over 25 years. Our experts travel globally from 19 offices located across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Singapore.

Envista adheres to the Safe Harbor Agreement concerning the transfer of personal data from the European Union (“EU”) to the United States of America. Accordingly, we follow the Safe Harbor Principles published by the U.S. Department of Commerce (the “Principles”) with respect to all such data. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and the Principles, the Principles shall govern. This privacy policy outlines our general policy and practices for implementing the Principles, including the types of information we gather, and how we use it. This privacy policy applies to all public information received by Envista whether in electronic, paper or verbal format.


“Public Information” or “Information” means information that (1) is transferred from the EU to the United States; (2) is recorded in any form; (3) is about, or pertains to a specific individual; and (4) can be linked to that individual. “Sensitive Personal Information” means personal information that reveals race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or that concerns an individual’s health.

Information Stored

The information we record is primarily gathered from customer’s business cards or by calling and recording their contact information. We record customer contact information such as but not limited to; phone numbers, title, name, address, name of business, and email address. In addition to contact information we record meeting notes that might include topics discussed, customer concerns, or industry discussions. We do not store any information that we classified above as “Sensitive Personal Information”. The information that we store we classify as “Public Information”. This information is securely stored in our Microsoft Dynamics CRM Database which resides at our corporate headquarters in Northbrook, IL. In addition, to public client information we store information directly relating to a project or job with our clients, this can include but is not limited to; list of damaged assets, photos of damage, and insured contact information.


Onward Transfers

Envista does not transfer any customer information to any third party outside the scope of normal business relations with that the customer of which they will be aware of. Information we collect about an insured party during the course of executing our customers’ instructions may be transferred to the customer or their designated legal counsel in the form of a report or copy of documents.

Data Security

Envista will take reasonable steps to protect the Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Envista has put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Envista Consulting cannot guarantee the security of Information on or transmitted via the Internet.

Data Integrity

Envista shall only process Public Information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected. To the extent necessary for those purposes, Envista shall take reasonable steps to ensure that Public Information is accurate, complete, current and reliable for its intended use.


Envista uses a self-assessment approach to assure compliance with this privacy policy and periodically verifies that the policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed, completely implemented and accessible and in conformity with the Principles. We encourage interested persons to raise any concerns using the contact information provided and we will investigate and attempt to resolve any complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of Personal Information in accordance with the Principles.

Principles Amendment:

The principles of Notice, Choice, and Access are not enforced as the information stored is deemed to be Public Information


This privacy policy may be amended from time to time consistent with the requirements of the Safe Harbor. We will post any revised policy on our corporate website at http://www.lwgconsulting.com. Envista is committed to following the Principles for all Public Information within the scope of the Safe Harbor Agreement. However, certain information is subject to policies of Envista that may differ in some respects from the general policies set forth in this privacy policy.
